PROGRAMMING & ROBOTICS

School & School announces admission to a different Programming & Robotics course for children aged 6-9 years.

DIFFERENT KIND OF SCHOOL

In Programming & Robotics classes, participants have the opportunity to study the disciplines of the 21st century, to learn the basics of informatics, programming and robotics with a focus on research, design, production, testing and performance through practical work at school, but also at home if desired.
The goal of the lesson is to introduce children to the world of modern technology, to broaden their horizons, to point out challenges but opportunities, to explain technologies and trends that will be around us very soon. The program is tasked with teaching children to overcome challenges in science, computer science, engineering and mathematics. To make them aware that they are the ones who can create a better future for the benefit of all humanity.

Ultimately, our mission is to provide an affirming environment for children where they can discover, develop and be who they really are!

KEY COMPETENCIES THAT STUDENTS THROUGH THIS COURSE RECEIVE

  • Mathematical competences
  • Technological competence
  • Digital competence
  • Communicating in a foreign language

MORE ABOUT THE PROGRAM

GAMETECH PLAYER (ages 6-7/ A1). Let's Have Fun!

This unique interdisciplinary program for children aged 6-7 was created with the aim of developing children’s ability to solve simple mathematical and logical problems. During the school year, students will have the opportunity to get to know the world of technology through play and fun through computer science (getting to know the internal components of a computer, simple assembling a computer), visual programming (one programming language) and engineering, i.e. structural design with LEGO Technics and LEGO Education WeDo (6 positions).

GAMETECH BUILDER (ages 8-9/ A2). Let's Build!

An interdisciplinary program for children aged 7-8 years, created with the aim of developing children’s ability to solve simple and moderately complex mathematical and logical problems.
The focus is on building perception and understanding the interconnectedness and impact of individual actions (learned) and the final result (project). During the school year, students will have the opportunity to learn about the world of technology in an interesting way, namely; through computer science (acquaintance with internal and peripheral computer components, advanced computer assembly), advanced visual programming (two programming languages) and engineering, i.e. structural design with LEGO Technics and LEGO Education WeDo (12 positions).
Getting to know the programmable logic controller known as Arduino, an open-source platform for creating simple and advanced interactive projects.

Teaching takes place simultaneously in the mother tongue and in English. The percentage of lectures in English depends on the average level of knowledge of the entire teaching group. The course lasts 8.5 months (Sep – June) or 4.5 months (Feb – June). Winter vacation from January 1 to January 31. The weekly class is 1.5 hours (1 x 90 min), with a 5-minute break between classes. Monthly fund 6 hours (4 x 90 min). Number of participants in groups – max 8.
