DIFFERENT KIND OF SCHOOL

People’s horizons are great just as much as we allow me to! Each time we dream about a near or far future, our view goes up, straight to the sky. We at School & School deeply believe that every child is a star and that the genius and imagination of the child goes far beyond what we think of adults. There was never a limit for them! Therefore, we are proud to introduce Astroinformatics Education Program as part of our unique “TRAVEL TO MARS” package where students will have the opportunity to learn about technology architecture, network infrastructure, server administration, and global telecommunications. At Astroinformatics, attendees will enjoy logical-mathematical, information technology and engineering assignments. Through the educational sessions of Astroinformatics, the trainee becomes a small wizard of the modern age, realizing that he / she is the person who can redesign the future! Throughout the whole curriculum, C ++ programming is integrated with robotic engineering with a programmable Logical Controller Arduino, an open-source platform designed to create simple and advanced interactive projects. The program takes place in English, depending on the level of knowledge of the whole group!

“Space travel is not just for aliens anymore …”

AMBIENT & ATMOSPHERE

Interior design is a reflection of who we are and what we are doing! For this reason, the location, space, interior decoration and the atmosphere of the school is of great importance because it represents our informal and modern lifestyle. Atmosphere at school is the most important thing! It is a unique package of everything we present, happiness, joy, positive energy, love, satisfaction, and faith in what we are doing. All classrooms meet the most educational and technological criteria for performing contemporary interactive teaching.

MORE ABOUT THE PROGRAM

I YEAR - EARTH CADET (age 8+)

An interdisciplinary program for 8-9 years old children designed to develop analytical-critical thinking and ability to solve complex and moderate mathematical and logical problems. During the first school year, students will have the opportunity to get familiar with them on the basics of software engineering (C ++ on Earth), computer hardware, and computer architecture, with carefully designed challenges and tests that are not there to evaluate to awaken the desire for progress! For this age and level of knowledge, we believe that the ideal methodology of learning is “trial and error,” which is why the educational session encourages practice completely, while the theoretical level of theoretical presentation is minimized. Additionally, C ++ practice is partially implemented along with the Arduino curriculum, where for this age are foreseen “Lightning Arduino” projects that contain the basics of studying the basis of electronics and electricity!

“If we all did the things we really are capable of doing, we would literally astound ourselves.”

Classes are held in both mother language and English. The percentage of lectures in English depends on the average level of knowledge of the whole classroom.

The course lasts 8.5 months (Sep – Jun) or 4.5 months (Feb – Jun). Winter break from 1. till 31. of January. The weekly number of hours is 2 hours (1 x 120 min), with a break of 5 -7 minutes after 30 minutes. Monthly amount is 8 hours (4 x 120 min).

Number of participants in groups – max 10. Participants are grouped according to age and level of knowledge. During the school year, the commitment and progress of the students is regularly monitored, at the end of each month and semester in the form of short oral and written tests, while at the end of the school year students take the final exam, after which they get the right to receive the School & School attendance certificate successfully completed schooling.

The possibility of enrollment every month!

The educational program created for this age and level of knowledge aims at triggering logical mathematical intelligence, influencing interpersonal intelligence, and raising the student’s awareness of the technological trends of tomorrow! During the second year of school, students will continue to become more familiar with the study of software engineering (C ++ Space), mechatronic hardware, with a focus on network infrastructure with practical tasks and tests whose primary goal will be to determine the level of acquired knowledge and student progress, to encourage them and raise their confidence. Additionally, C ++ practice is part of Arduino’s curriculum, where for this age are foreseen Arduino Movement projects that contain the basics and more advanced study of the principles of mechanical movements!

The program is only for the courageous! For those whose goal in life is to overcome themselves! The educational program is tailored to their level of knowledge and expectations that arise from the need for multitasking, the speed of learning and the changes that are happening around them! During the second school year, students will continue to become more familiar with software engineering (C ++ Mars), mecha hardware, with the focus on studying Server Administration with practical tasks. The aim of the program is to awaken the genius of the participants, to awaken the desire to explore impossible. Additionally, C ++ practice is part of Arduino’s curriculum, where for this age are foreseen “Arduino Wireless” projects that contain the basics and more advanced study of the principles of wireless technology!

Classes are held in both mother language and English. The percentage of lectures in English depends on the average level of knowledge of the whole classroom.

EVALUATION OF KNOWLEDGE AND DISCOVERY OF TALENTS

For each group and student individually, a special diary is kept of the results of the student activities performed and the final grade on the monthly, semi-annual and annual basis. The diary contains the results from the teaching process, which records the presence, quality of the tasks performed, the student’s knowledge (quiz), the activity at the moment, and the final monthly test, which analyzes progress, work habits and student motivation. An important part of the diary is the observation and recommendation of the teachers aiming to help the student achieve satisfactory results. In addition to recording and tracking the results of the teaching process, teachers have the task of determining, through direct observation, the frequent or recurring character traits of the students, all in order to recognize and reveal the expressive talents of children.

For children over eight years, the MI8 test is performed based on which we compare the results obtained during the teaching process and the immediate observation, which confirms or does not confirm the previously obtained results of expressing certain talents for each individual student.

Goals of the teaching process

The first goal of such a holistic way of education is to provide students with space and time during which they will have the opportunity to find their passion, and teachers have the opportunity to recognize the student’s talents for certain activities. Another aim is to discover, develop and nurture children’s talents. The third goal is to provide the necessary educational and pedagogical support to the students in their expression. The fourth goal is to build and maintain the self-confidence of the students at the highest level.

Public presentation of the work and acquired knowledge

At the end of each semester (end of December) and school year (half of June), students present their work and gained knowledge at school exhibitions called School & School – ShowDown Expo, where students finally have the opportunity to confirm all their discoveries and acquired potentials.

ShowDown Expo is a public test for all participants in the teaching process.
