DIFFERENT KIND OF SCHOOL

The world will face the great shortage of engineers, scientists and mathematicians over the next few years, unless students are encouraged to study these subjects in schools!

Aware of this fact, at School & School, we have designed a unique and innovative program of creative physics and mathematics for introvert children who have pronounced logical intelligence, love of numbers, developed analytical and critical thinking, … These are the ones who once grow up wanting to become astronauts, scientists, mathematicians and physicists, or perhaps engineers. Also, the School of Creative Physics and Mathematics is for those who are trying to finally understand the laws of nature and apply the acquired knowledge to unlock the secrets of the Universe.

Physics and Mathematics are the foundations of science!

AMBIENT & ATMOSPHERE

Interior design is a reflection of who we are and what we are doing! For this reason, the location, space, interior decoration and the atmosphere of the school is of great importance because it represents our informal and modern lifestyle. Atmosphere at school is the most important thing! It is a unique package of everything we present, happiness, joy, positive energy, love, satisfaction, and faith in what we are doing. All classrooms meet the most educational and technological criteria for performing contemporary interactive teaching.

KEY COMPETENCIES THAT STUDENTS THROUGH THIS COURSE RECEIVE

  • Mathematical competences
  • Scientific competence
  • Learning a foreign language

MORE ABOUT THE PROGRAM

CPM EXPLORER (age 10 - 11). Let's Explore!

The first year of CPM is dedicated to mechanics, space and time, mechanical movement, speed, acceleration… The curriculum is organized in such a way that students can learn through observation and discussion of various natural phenomena and experiments performed independently or together with teachers. Students perform most of the exams themselves, collect data, check their ideas and conclusions, discuss and explain the results obtained, determine the causes (causes) that led to a particular result, linking it with previous experiences and knowledge from other subjects or their own life experiences. They get to know the different scales, their data, collect and process data, create tables, calculate the mean value. The goal is for pupils to come to their own conclusions! They can be wrong or right, but they need to be free to express their thoughts. Why is that important? Because there is always the possibility to upgrade existing solutions!

The main field of study is Mechanics and how it relates:
Kinematics, Dynamics, Energy, Labor and Power, Hydrostatics and Aerospace, Hydrodynamics and Aerodynamics. Introduction to astronomy and astrophysics. The program includes study visits and laboratory research.

Classes are held in both mother language and English. The percentage of lectures in English depends on the average level of knowledge of the whole classroom.

The course lasts 8.5 months (Sep – Jun) or 4.5 months (Feb – Jun). Winter break from 1. till 31. of January. The weekly number of hours is 2 hours (1 x 120 min), with a break of 5 -7 minutes after 30 minutes. Monthly amount is 8 hours (4 x 120 min).

Number of participants in groups – max 10. Participants are grouped according to age and level of knowledge. During the school year, the commitment and progress of the students is regularly monitored, at the end of each month and semester in the form of short oral and written tests, while at the end of the school year students take the final exam, after which they get the right to receive the School & School attendance certificate successfully completed schooling.

The possibility of enrollment every month!

EVALUATION OF KNOWLEDGE AND DISCOVERY OF TALENTS

For each group and student individually, a special diary is kept of the results of the student activities performed and the final grade on the monthly, semi-annual and annual basis. The diary contains the results from the teaching process, which records the presence, quality of the tasks performed, the student’s knowledge (quiz), the activity at the moment, and the final monthly test, which analyzes progress, work habits and student motivation. An important part of the diary is the observation and recommendation of the teachers aiming to help the student achieve satisfactory results. In addition to recording and tracking the results of the teaching process, teachers have the task of determining, through direct observation, the frequent or recurring character traits of the students, all in order to recognize and reveal the expressive talents of children.

For children over eight years, the MI8 test is performed based on which we compare the results obtained during the teaching process and the immediate observation, which confirms or does not confirm the previously obtained results of expressing certain talents for each individual student.

Goals of the teaching process

The first goal of such a holistic way of education is to provide students with space and time during which they will have the opportunity to find their passion, and teachers have the opportunity to recognize the student’s talents for certain activities. Another aim is to discover, develop and nurture children’s talents. The third goal is to provide the necessary educational and pedagogical support to the students in their expression. The fourth goal is to build and maintain the self-confidence of the students at the highest level.

Public presentation of the work and acquired knowledge

At the end of each semester (end of December) and school year (half of June), students present their work and gained knowledge at school exhibitions called School & School – ShowDown Expo, where students finally have the opportunity to confirm all their discoveries and acquired potentials.
ShowDown Expo is a public test for all participants in the teaching process.
