DIFFERENT KIND OF SCHOOL

School & School is a different Art & Design school for children and young people! A place where art is inspired by imagination! In all our Art & Design programs, learning, fun, and working on projects go hand in hand. During the course, children will have the opportunity to discover some of the most imaginative and innovative ways to express their inner feelings and observations through artistic creation. Aware that younger ages enter the classroom to find an open and encouraging world of art and an environment full of possibilities, it is precisely for this reason that we have created a school full of love for artistic expression.
Guided by professional artists, children will be challenged to imagine, design, create and build, also to learn about art history, stylistic principles, materials, “how-to” processes, from which their inner artist should be born and develop. or a world-class designer flourishes.
The Art & Design School program culminates in the last week of school, during which students will be able to show off what they have learned during their schooling. Students will have the opportunity to share their creations with friends and family in the 60-minute final exhibition.

AMBIENT & ATMOSPHERE

Interior design is a reflection of who we are and what we are doing! For this reason, the location, space, interior decoration and the atmosphere of the school is of great importance because it represents our informal and modern lifestyle. Atmosphere at school is the most important thing! It is a unique package of everything we present, happiness, joy, positive energy, love, satisfaction, and faith in what we are doing. All classrooms meet the most educational and technological criteria for performing contemporary interactive teaching.

MORE ABOUT THE PROGRAM

GRAPHIC DESIGN & MARKETING (age 10-11)

Graphic design is a type of applied art that most often involves combining typography, illustration, photography and printing to convey an idea or message through visual communication, for the purpose of informing, persuading or educating. Marketing is nothing more than knowing and getting to know, and finding a way to reach the target group to whom it is necessary to convey that idea and message. This unique curriculum is an ideal way to teach children to communicate their ideas to the public. In addition to discovering and developing linguistic and visual intelligence in children, the program raises self-esteem and self-confidence, which is the greatest additional value of this educational program.
All of the above is an integral part of the graphic design and marketing program, which students will have the opportunity to learn and implement exclusively through practical work during the one-year program!
The technical part of the program includes getting to know and working with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other computer programs for editing text, photos, and videos.

ARCHITECTURE & HOME DESIGN (age 12-13)

Interior architecture is the design of space that aims to enable the best and most pleasant interaction between man and the designed space. The synergy between man and space is one of life’s most important questions and challenges, which unfortunately people are not even aware of during their lifetime. Space can calm but also make you nervous, so it is very important to shape and adapt the environment and space to the user.
Exactly, that is the purpose of the interior architecture program itself, to enlighten and teach students about the necessity of synergy between man and space. To teach them that certain shapes, textures, colors do not suit every person the same, but depending on the person’s character and lifestyle, it is necessary to create an ideal living space, thanks to which the user will be inspired to constantly surpass himself. In the end, lifestyle includes not only clothes and cars, but also the living and working space where a person spends most of his time. And that’s why it’s important to start studying this program from childhood, because that’s when we create people who will later make up modern humanity. The technical and educational part of the program includes introduction to draft geometry and perspective.

INDUSTRIAL DESIGN (age 13-14)

Industrial design is the easiest to explain as an artistic aspiration or the need to unite every object or product with a unique spirit, functionality and simplicity. Objects do not need the addition of decorations that would hide or repair ugly and shapeless parts, but these parts should be shaped in a beautiful, artistic way and the object will be beautiful in itself.
This is exactly the goal of the program, to teach children, future designers, the process of simplifying objects, by looking at all objects analytically, which means that the object is first broken down into its constituent elements, then, they are tried to be optimally shaped, analyzing the mutual relations of the elements and on thus offering an optimal solution of the whole that meets the basic principles of industrial design: simplicity, functionality and attractive ergonomic design.

Teaching takes place simultaneously in the mother tongue and in English. The percentage of lectures in English depends on the average level of knowledge of the entire teaching group.
The course lasts 8.5 months (Sep – June) or 4.5 months (Feb – June). Winter vacation from January 1 to January 31. The weekly class is 1.5 hours (1 x 90 min), with a 5-7 minute break between classes. 
Monthly fund 6 hours (4 x 90 min).
Number of participants in groups – max 6. 

Participants are divided into groups according to age and level of knowledge. During the school year, students’ efforts and progress are regularly monitored, at the end of each month and semester in the form of short oral and written tests, while at the end of the school year, students take a final exam or work on a final project, after which they are entitled to receive School & School certificate of attendance and successfully completed schooling.

EVALUATION OF KNOWLEDGE AND EXPLOITATION OF POWERS

For each group and student individually, a special diary is kept of the results of the student activities performed and the final grade on the monthly, semi-annual and annual basis. The diary contains the results from the teaching process, which records the presence, quality of the tasks performed, the student’s knowledge (quiz), the activity at the moment, and the final monthly test, which analyzes progress, work habits and student motivation. An important part of the diary is the observation and recommendation of the teachers aiming to help the student achieve satisfactory results. In addition to recording and tracking the results of the teaching process, teachers have the task of determining, through direct observation, the frequent or recurring character traits of the students, all in order to recognize and reveal the expressive talents of children.

For children over eight years, the MI8 test is performed based on which we compare the results obtained during the teaching process and the immediate observation, which confirms or does not confirm the previously obtained results of expressing certain talents for each individual student.

Goals of the teaching process

The first goal of such a holistic way of education is to provide students with space and time during which they will have the opportunity to find their passion, and teachers have the opportunity to recognize the student’s talents for certain activities. Another aim is to discover, develop and nurture children’s talents. The third goal is to provide the necessary educational and pedagogical support to the students in their expression. The fourth goal is to build and maintain the self-confidence of the students at the highest level.

Public presentation of the work and acquired knowledge

At the end of each semester (end of December) and school year (half of June), students present their work and gained knowledge at school exhibitions called School & School – ShowDown Expo, where students finally have the opportunity to confirm all their discoveries and acquired potentials.

ShowDown Expo is a public test for all participants in the teaching process.
